Welcome to Peninsula Sub Aqua Club –
diving club in Cornwall
We are a small, active, BSAC scuba diving club based in the south west of Cornwall with members located all over Cornwall, from St.Austell to Falmouth, Lizard to Penzance, and Redruth and Camborne areas.
We’re a friendly bunch and welcome new divers, both trainees and those already qualified. Founded in the 70’s, Peninsula Sub Aqua Club (PSAC) currently comprises around 50 members of varying ages and levels of diving experience.
Club night is on a Friday night at Redruth School swimming pool, where we meet every week during term time from 8.30 to 9.30pm. Please feel free to come along for chat and a swim – friends and family welcome too (£3 per swim session). After the pool session some of us round of the evening at The Plume of Feathers in Pool for a general chat.
Our diving is varied and accommodates all levels and interests, from shallow reefs and wrecks to the deeper north coast sites. Much of our diving takes place from three key locations – Penzance, Hayle and Falmouth – from our 6.5m Humber RIB fitted with 150-hp Suzuki 4-stoke, which comfortably carries eight divers and their kit. Sunday is club diving day, but also during the summer months diving is more frequent with the club boat going out at least once a week along with a mid-week evening shore dive and BBQ.
With our our members located across different areas of Cornwall, we all stay in touch with each other via WhatsApp. Members message out any dive plans – both boat and shore dives – and share pictures, videos and anecdotes after a day’s diving.
