Medical requirements
All PSAC divers, including trainees, must satisfy the BSAC medical requirements. You can complete a self-certification on the BSAC website as part of your BSAC membership.
You can complete a self-declaration medical fitness form on the BSAC website once you have become a member: https://www.bsac.com/mybsac/
Alternatively, you can download the form here:

If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions on the form, you will require a medical. BSAC policy is that the medical must be carried out a doctor who is registered under the UK Diving Medical Committee (UKDMC). In the south-west, the options are:
- Dr Christine Penny (Aquamarine Medicals Plymouth)
1 Emma Place Ope, Stonehouse, Plymouth, PL1 3FD

- Diving Disease Research Centre (DDRC)
Research Way, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford Plymouth. PL6 8BU

Email DDRC
The medical costs approx £100.
