Sunday is the club diving day where, weather-permitting, we aim to get the club boat out and get people diving. Sunday club diving caters for all levels.

We have a dive rota for the management of Sunday club diving, which is published quarterly by our Diving Officer (DO) and aims to spread the dive management evenly so one person takes the role of Dive Manager (DM) once a quarter.

The duty DM are asked to message club members, via WhatsApp, on the Wednesday before with details for Sunday’s club diving, along with a deadline to respond by. Club members wanting to dive should respond to the DM by the requested deadline.

Once the DM has final numbers, at the point of the deadline, he/she will create the dive plan for the Sunday and message those members, who have put their names down, with a dive plan for the day which will accommodate all the individuals on the list.

The club makes a charge per boat dive to cover the day’s fuel and launching costs. The amount charged varies, depending on the distance the boat travels to the dive site.

Any member who responds after the deadline, is not guaranteed a dive. They will be placed on a reserve list unless there are boat spaces available.
